The Blueing of the Game

Introduction

I like my personal introductions short and sweet. A smile and a simple hello will do. In these COVID times a handshake is out of the question. And in terms of this book, The Blueing of the Game, and indeed what is hoped to be its sequel, The Blue Game, the greeting can be equally succinct. Both are and will be about the game of football, the World’s game, which began English but became and, indeed, has remained in all almost all its facets first Scottish and then Scots, a fact, some might say contention, that should make all proud, indeed “very proud” Scots and their descendants no matter where globally prouder still.
